![]() ![]() ![]() I’d personally take strategic gameplay over power-hungry players armed to the teeth with ammo and helicopters any day. Sudden shutdowns can be frustrating, especially when youre playing games. An underpowered power supply may also be to blame, and its always worth reinstalling stable drivers to rule out any issues there. Hopefully, with Battlefield 1943 ending, DICE has time to reflect on this classic title and see how it can bring simplicity into its new games. Heat may be the main cause of sudden shutdowns, affecting either the CPU or GPU. In practice, this amounted to hordes of acrobatic soldiers zooming around battlefields with chaotic abandon and grapples. This made Battlefield 2042 a confusing mess where players converged on a single meta. For instance, even if a Specialist is an Assault type, they don’t necessarily play in the way you feel an Assault would. These replaced class and loadout systems with characters that were able to equip any weapon or gadget without restrictions. ![]() The worst crime was the introduction of Specialists. This made Battlefield 2042 a confusing mess where players converged on a single meta I have the following settings in BF V: - screen mode Borderless (tried with full screen as well) - DX12 Enabled on. clean boot (no program conflict) - Repair from Origin Client. The shiny weapons needed a good amount of elbow grease and attachments to work well, and I often found myself waylaid in my attempts to track down usable vehicles. I have tried the following mentioned fixed without success: - use direct 12. Just tweak a couple things and *fingers crossed*, your rendering will be working great.Despite the solid graphics and performance, I initially found Battlefield 2042 to be pretty draining. I am playing on a new monitor and changed the setting in the control panel for my laptop to not shut down when the lid is closed. So check your fans and make sure they are clean and don't have any dust on them to make sure your GPU is getting sufficient cooling. im having issues with my laptop shutting down / hibernating when I am playing games. So if you increase the speed, you increase the cooling. However, you can change the speed of the fans. I play lots of heavy load games including Battlefield V, Star Citizen and Oculus Rift VR games with no issues (GTX 1080 Ti) but repeatedly get intermittent full PC shut off during OW gameplay. This is sufficient enough for the 7800 XT. I know this question has been asked but none of the forum answers has solved my problem. Most PC cases can easily work with 2-3 Fans. Do some rendering and see if the issue persists.ģ) Another option is your cooling. Its just the fact that more than likely, your PSU just isn't strong enough to handle the rendering output.ġ) Undervolt. It means that there is no hardware issue. ![]() The fact that you have no bluescreen should give you that knowledge. Especially with rendering, you should undervolt the GPU through AMD Adrenalin and check your temps. 700w is the minimum that AMD advises when using the 7800 XT. This, as you will know, puts great strain onto the GPU. You've stated that you do alot of rendering work. What is going on, is AMD even aware of this or are we supposed to just suck it up and put up with the risk of losing my work everytime this happens ? PSU : Corsair TX650M (2 8 pin connectors powering the GPU and yes i already one cable as well)Īll drivers, BIOS, Chipset, Windows and everything are up to date I use this card for my work as well as i'm an architect and i do a lot of CAD/BIM and 3D rendering work, and it also shuts down when i'm using TwinMotion to render some of my work. I have never experienced this problem before with my 3070 and honestly it's just unacceptable to have a dysfunctional product out of the box when u pay 550 € + for it, I've been using AMD CPUs for some time and never had major problems and always stranded for AMD against the whole AMD drivers being buggy and instable stories but i'm starting to change my mind as apparently i'm not the only one having this issue looking at all the topics talking about it on the internet I recently switched from a RTX 3070 to a RX 7800 XT on my system, and since switching to this card, my PC randomly switches off with no bluescreen or any thing, just turns off completely. ![]()
